Cinco de Mayo celebrationOn May 5th our Hispanic Community here at St. Denis will sponsor a meal of traditional foods from Ecuador, El Salvador and Mexico. We will enjoy Pollo con Chili, Pupusas and Guacamole among other main dishes, a traditional drink called Horchata, as well as Pastel de las 3 Leches and Empanadas for dessert. There will be a Pinata for the children and traditional Hispanic music. Please note that this is a family event and alcohol will not be served. Educational Forum on Opposition to Assisted Suicide
Assisted Suicide continues to be in the forefront of issues being considered in Albany legislation. Some claim it is simply “medical assistance in dying” and not suicide. But what is really at stake here? Are lethal pills the most we can offer to those who find themselves suffering with a terminal illness? Join us to learn the facts as we look at the legislation and some of its medical, legal, and ethical implications.
